01. Not medical or clinical advice
HZen offers guided meditation, breathwork, journaling, gentle movement, and peer community reflection. HZen does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or clinical advice, diagnosis, therapy, or treatment.
Nothing contained within the HZen application, website, or audio experiences should be construed as medical diagnosis or substituted for professional clinical consultation. Always seek the advice of a licensed physician, therapist, or qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition, mental health challenge, or treatment plan.
02. Somatic practices, breathwork & physical safety
Certain HZen practices involve breath regulation (such as box breathing, energizing breath, or parasympathetic down-regulation), somatic focus, emotional reflection, or gentle postural movement. These are wellness practices, not medical treatments. You retain full control and decide what feels safe and appropriate for your body.
- Pause immediately if any practice causes physical pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, or emotional overwhelm.
- Do not use while in motion: Never engage with breathwork, audio meditations, or reflective exercises while driving, operating heavy machinery, or in situations requiring active vigilance.
- Pre-existing conditions: If you are pregnant, have cardiovascular concerns, asthma, epilepsy, respiratory conditions, or take medications affecting respiration or nervous system regulation, consult your clinician prior to practicing.
- Not emergency care: Do not rely on HZen as a substitute for emergency intervention or physician-prescribed medications.
03. If you are in crisis
HZen is a sanctuary for peaceful daily reflection, not an acute psychiatric response service. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, emotional crisis, or immediate danger, please reach out to dedicated emergency personnel right now.
